A fantastic new complex has been created in Orlando on International Drive. Set to open in May 2015, the entertainment area has the new attraction The Orlando Eye, with stunning views of Orlando and surrounding areas, Orlando's Madame Tussaud's, the world famous wax museum with all its celebrity wax inhabitants, Sea Life Aquarium, which has an underwater tunnel to walk through showing hundreds of sea creatures in all their splendour. And the area also has restaurants, bars, shopping and a shuttle departure point for Legoland Florida which is about 45 minutes away.

Old Town Kissimmee Improvements Underway.

If you are planning a visit to Old Town Kissimmee, are you aware that there is a refurbishment taking place ? (August 2014)

Shops, bars and restaurants are still open, along with attractions such as 'Rootin Tootin Shooting Gallery', 'Laser Tag', 'The Haunt' and the Go Carts but the bigger rides are closed, making way for new improvements.

This atmospheric and fun area on Highway 192, is very close to Walt Disney World and the Universal Resort, worth visiting especially if staying in holiday accommodation close by.

The Shuttle Atlantis, One Year On at its Home at Kennedy Space Centre.

The Kennedy Space Centre is about an hours drive from the Theme Parks in Orlando and well worth a trip when on vacation in the Orlando area, 

A year ago the space Shuttle Atlantis was housed in an exhibition at the Center and in that year has attracted many visitors from all over the world. It's high tech, interactive, showcase, with simulators and presentations, all celebrate NASA'S achievements of its 30yr Space Shuttle programme and is a tribute to all the people involved in maintaining and flying the shuttles.

The Visitor Complex also has bus tours out to the shuttle launch pad for a drive by view.

Visit exhibits, including the Saturn V moon rocket, See 3D Space films, meet an Astronaut, get updates on launches and news from NASA, buy merchandise and souvenirs etc. etc.

Opening times for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex are 9am to 7pm through the summer, then closing times vary September to December.

Orlando Eye. International Drive, Orlando, Florida.

Orlando Florida will soon have it's own Orlando Eye, a huge Ferris wheel in a complex of new attractions, shops, restaurants and entertainment. Construction is underway and is scheduled to open Winter 2014 but with some of the attractions opening through the summer.

The location for the complex is on International Drive, the Orlando Eye will stand 425 feet tall and visitors will have the chance to ride in one of the 30 gondolas for a ride of approximate 20 minutes and experience an amazing view.

Star Gazers can view the Sky at the Crosby Observatory at the Orlando Science Center.

Until August 17th 2013 the Observatory at the Science Center Orlando is open for night sky viewing on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm.

Private parties can also be booked.

Walt Disney World Orlando Independence Day Celebrations 2013.

Stand by for a patriotic and dazzling week in July at Walt Disney World Orlando to celebrate Independence Day. Surprises will be in store from "Limited Time Magic" throughout the week of 1st-7th July 2013 with nightly spectacular fireworks over Cinderella's Castle.

Characters will be dressed in patriotic costumes, the parks will be awash  with red white and blue decorations, there will be parades and music and look out for delicious food treats at many of the restaurants.
